Failure Is Information
A failed attempt is not necessarily a wasted attempt. It can reveal which path is not worth pursuing.
We often treat failure as a verdict about ourselves. If something does not work, we conclude that we are not capable, talented, or disciplined enough.
A more useful perspective is to treat failure as information.
Every experiment produces data. Sometimes the result confirms what we expected. Sometimes it shows us that our assumptions were wrong.
This is especially important when building something new. You cannot know every answer before starting. Progress requires experimentation, and experimentation naturally produces outcomes that do not work.
The important question is not simply, 'Did I fail?' It is, 'What did this attempt teach me?'
A failed path can still be a successful experiment if it helps you choose a better path next.
