Curiosity Turns Work Into Play

Changing the question from 'How do I finish this?' to 'What can I discover?' can completely change the experience of work.

Some tasks feel boring because we approach them as obligations with a single purpose: finish them as quickly as possible.

Curiosity creates another option. Instead of asking only how to complete the task, we can ask what we can learn, discover, test, or improve.

A repetitive task can become an experiment. A difficult problem can become a puzzle. A project can become an opportunity to test an idea.

Small changes can also make a difference. Put on music, create a challenge, measure your progress, or experiment with a different approach.

You do not have to love every task. Sometimes you only need to make it slightly more interesting.

Curiosity changes work from something you have to endure into something you can explore.
