Build a playground, not just a product
Not every project needs to be a business. Some of the best ones exist to explore, experiment, and grow.
Treating a side project as a playground instead of a startup changes the pressure completely. There is room to try an unusual stack, a weird interaction pattern, or an idea that would never survive a roadmap review.
Some of those experiments quietly turn into something more useful later. But even the ones that do not still pay off — they sharpen judgment for the next thing that does matter.
